By Kelsey Misbrener 174 Power Global, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hanwha Energy corporation of South Korea, has announced that it has begun construction on a 236-MW project in Pecos County in West Texas.
174 Power Global Corp. plans to build, own and operate the power plant for 25 years and sell 100% of the electricity output generated by the facility to Austin Energy, a leading Texas renewable energy purchaser. More than 680,000 high quality monocrystalline 345Wp modules for the project will be provided by Hanwha Q CELLS. Engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) will be performed by Hanwha Q Cells USA.
