2019 Audi RS 7 to Sport 700-HP Hybrid Powertrain

By Ray Prince Audi has confirmed a hybrid variant for the next-generation RS 7.
According to Audi design chief Marc Lichte in an interview with Evo magazine, the next A7 will arrive in late 2018 with the choice of two models: a standard RS 7 sporting the VW Group’s trademark twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 for 650 horsepower, and a plug-in hybrid. The plug-in hybrid will carry a less powerful 550-horsepower V8 along with an electric motor and 14-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery for an additional 150 horsepower.
