300-MW wind farm section of Wheatridge Renewable Energy Facility completed

By Billy Ludt Portland General Electric Company‘s Wheatridge Renewable Energy Facility started commercial power generation in Eastern Oregon. Wheatridge is a joint wind project of PGE and a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources. This new facility marks a milestone in Oregon’s acceleration to a clean energy future and contributes to achieving PGE’s recently established company-wide goal of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.
