By Michelle Froese Avangrid Renewables, a subsidiary of AVANGRID, Inc., began commercial operations at three new wind farms in recent weeks, including more than 500 MW of new wind farms in California, New Mexico, and Colorado. The projects are each under long-term energy contracts.
Avangrid has installed more than 500 MW of wind capacity in three states, which means the company now has a U.S. fleet that includes 3,300 wind turbines across 22 states.
The 131-MW Tule Wind Farm in California, the 298-MW El Cabo Wind Farm in New Mexico, and the 75-MW Twin Buttes II Wind Farm in Colorado each represent a substantial investment
