By Jon LeSage BMW’s sales of electrified vehicles have more than doubled so far in 2017 compared to the same period in 2016.
In a corporate sales report from Friday, BMW Group reported that more than 10,000 battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles have been delivered to customers worldwide. That represents an increase of more 110.1 percent over last year.
The sales results reflect growing interest among customers in alternative drive train vehicles, BMW said.
Current sales figures include the BMW i3 all-electric and extended-range models, and the i8, X5, 3-Series, and 7-Series plug-in hybrids. The company expects plug-in vehicles sales to increase through the launch
