By Jon LeSage The UK’s Royal Navy has just taken delivery of 48 Nissan e-NV200 electric vans as part of the Ministry of Defense’s strategy to modernize its base.
A fleet of 48 all-electric Nissan e-NV200 Combis has arrived at Portsmouth Naval Base, Nissan announced yesterday. The photo shows Commodore Jeremy Rigby, naval base commander, standing next to one of the electric vans.
The Royal Navy funded the acquisition to make a more modern and energy efficient Naval Base, which fits into the Ministry’s key goals. It also fits well into the port’s objective of reducing emissions and increasing energy efficiency.
