Eocycle’s direct-drive wind turbine gains three new certifications

By Michelle Froese Small wind manufacturer, Eocycle’s EO25 direct-drive wind turbine has achieved three significant new certifications, supporting the company’s expansion in several markets. These certifications are: IEC 61400-2 (global markets), AWEA 9.1 (U.S.A.), and MCS (UK).
Eocycle’s EO25 turbines are equipped with a patented permanent-magnet generator, fixed-pitch blades, and a flexible coupling to eliminate problems related to gearboxes and blade-pitching systems.
The certifications were performed by SGS, a global provider of inspection, verification, testing, and certification of wind turbines. They represent the one of the highest standards in the industry, and further validate wind-turbine design and performance.
