Goldwind partners with Viridis Eolia for 1,870-MW Wyoming wind project

By Michelle Froese Goldwind Americas, a subsidiary of Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co. has entered into an exclusive agreement with Viridis Eolia, a Wyoming corporation, for the conditional supply of Goldwind’s permanent-magnet, direct-drive (PMDD) wind turbines.
The direct-drive turbine order for a 1,870-MW Wyoming wind farm represents Goldwind’s largest U.S. wind order to date.
The Viridis Eolia Master Plan, a planned 1,870-MW multi-phase wind project in Carbon County, Wyoming, will use Goldwind’s 2.5-MW and 3.0-MW PMDD wind turbines.
