Holy Cross Energy and Colorado Mountain College to benefit from new solar + storage project

By Renewable Energy World This week Ameresco announced a new partnership with Holy Cross Energy (HCE) for a solar and battery energy storage project, which will use land leased from Colorado Mountain College at its Spring Valley Campus.

Holy Cross Energy signed a PPA with Ameresco which means Ameresco will design, build, operate and maintain the facilities and sell the energy to HCE to help meet its goal of sourcing 100% of the electricity used to serve customer load with renewable resources by 2030. According to the agreement, Ameresco will install 5 MW of solar PV capacity and 15-MWh battery energy storage.
