Large offshore turbines have reached remarkable outputs and will likely get larger

MHI Vestas erected the first V164 prototype in the National Test Center for Large Turbines in Northern Denmark in 2014. In early 2016, two turbines were erected in Måde in Western Denmark and later in 2016, the first industrial units were installed at Burbo Bank, off the west coast of the United Kingdom. Subsequently, serial deliveries to several offshore sites have been succeeded.
