By Tim Healey Maserati is planning to sell a plug-in hybrid version of its Levante SUV.
Not only that, but there’s confirmation of previous reports that it will share technology with a fellow Fiat Chrysler product – the Pacifica Hybrid.
That’s because Maserati expects sales of the plug-in hybrid version to be low – only about 10 percent of all Levante sales – so it makes more sense for the brand to cut costs by sharing existing technology from another part of the corporate family.
