Mazda is Again the Most Fuel-Efficient Automaker

That’s according to the Light Duty Fuel Economy Trends Report, released by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The report lists Mazda as having the highest overall Manufacturer Adjusted Fuel Economy for the 2016 model year at 29.6 mpg, improving 0.4 mpg over the previous year. The Manufacturer Adjusted Fuel Economy is the average fuel economy of all vehicles sold by an automaker over a one-year period.
