By Evan Williams The next-gen Bugatti Chiron hypercar will get hybrid tech to help make it even faster, according to the company’s CEO.
“Electrification will happen,” said Bugatti CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer.
The current Chiron uses a quad-turbo 8.0-liter W16 that makes an absolutely massive 1,479 horsepower. It’s an evolution of the Veyron’s engine that started at 987 horsepower when that car debuted. But to move the game forward, the next generation car is going to take more than just turbochargers, displacement, and gasoline.
