By Michelle Froese The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) announced $5.5 million is available through the Community Energy Engagement Program for qualified organizations to provide locally-based energy awareness and education services in communities through select community organizations across New York State.
These ‘Community Energy Advisers’ will look for ways to increase adoption rates for clean energy products and services for residential, multi-family, and small business customers, with an emphasis on low-to-moderate-income (LMI) households and communities.
The advisers will advance the state’s ambitious energy agenda of 50% of electricity to come from renewable sources by 2030. Expanding renewable energy awareness into communities
