Ontario’s Port Ryerse Wind Farm set for construction

By Michelle Froese Boralex developed the Port Ryerse Wind Farm Project, east of the hamlet of Port Ryerse in Norfolk County, in response to the Government of Ontario’s initiative to promote the development of renewable electricity in the province.
Construction of Ontario’s Port Ryerse Wind Farm, developed by Boralex Inc., will begin June 13 and will last about five months. Located east of the hamlet of Port Ryerse in Norfolk County, this project will have four Siemens SWT 3.0 113 turbines, with a total capacity of 10 MW. It is expected to create up to 50 jobs during the construction.
