Report: Electric Vehicle Drivers Prefer Leasing Over Purchasing

By Chad Kirchner A new report verifies what’s been commonly held that plug-in vehicle drivers by far prefer leasing their new plug-in hybrid or all-electirc vehicle over purchasing.
According to recent research by Bloomberg New Energy Finance, compared to a 30-percent average of leases versus purchases for the entire U.S. market, those who decide to lease EVs number 80 percent, and PHEVs tally to 55 percent.
