RES granted balance-of-plant construction contract for 80-MW New York wind farm

By Michelle Froese Renewable Energy Systems (RES), an expert in the development, engineering, construction, and operations of renewable projects in the Americas, has been awarded the balance-of-plant construction contract for the Copenhagen Wind Project. This new project is being developed and is owned by EDF Renewable Energy, a subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles.
RES provide balance-of-plant services during the construction of the 80-MW wind farm, and will also construct a 9-mile, 115-kV transmission line, terminating at a new substation.
The wind farm will be located in Jefferson and Lewis Counties in upstate New York. RES was selected for balance-of-plant construction through a competitive third party
