Senate tax bill could wreck renewable energy tax credits

By Kelsey Misbrener Although the Senate tax bill originally appeared not to have negative impacts on solar power, the Base Erosion Anti-Abuse Tax (BEAT) provisions within it could have devastating effects on solar tax credits, according to a Nov. 29 letter signed by the American Council on Renewable Energy, American Wind Energy Association, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions and Solar Energy Industries Association.
