By Evan Williams Startup automaker Sono Motors has just presented the first-ever production-ready solar car.
Sono launched the Sion yesterday in Munich. After the event, it will be going on a tour through 12 cities in Western Europe. Full production and sales are scheduled for 2019.
The Sono Motors Sion has 330 solar cells covering the bodywork. That’s enough solar to produce around 18 miles of range in a single day of charging.
