Toyota Premiers Self-Driving Mobility-As-a-Service Platform, e-Palette, at CES

By Ray Prince Toyota has just premiered a self-driving hybrid mobility platform, the e-Palette concept, at the Consumer Electronics Show.
Endemic of the automaker’s Mobility as a Service (MaaS) efforts, the platform, called “e-Palette” is a heavy glass, “multi-mode,” see-through transport box that transports people and packages through cities, acting as “intelligent” shipping containers on wheels. Functions e-Palettes are expected to serve include ride-sharing, mobile offices, pizza delivery, and other applications that could use self-driving vehicles as a transporter of its services or goods.
