Trina Solar hits 25.04% efficiency on monocrystalline IBC solar cells

By Kelly Pickerel And now for a mouthful: Trina Solar announced that its State Key Laboratory of PV Science and Technology has set a new record of 25.04% total-area efficiency for a large-area n-type mono-crystalline silicon interdigitated back contact (IBC) solar cell, with open-circuit voltage up to 715.6 mV. The result was independently certified by Japan Electric Safety and Environmental Technology Laboratory (JET).
