U.S. Trade and Development Agency supports Zambia wind project

By Michelle Froese The U.S. Trade and Development Agency awarded a grant supporting a feasibility study for a 130-MW wind-power project in Zambia. The grantee is Access Zambia Wind One, a wind project developer, and a subsidiary of Access Power, a Power Africa partner and developer, owner, and operator of power assets in emerging and frontier markets.
Access Zambia Wind One was awarded a grant to support a feasibility study for a 130-MW wind-power project, thanks to support from the U.S. Trade and Development Agency.
Access Zambia will competitively select a U.S. firm to complete the study.
The wind farm is slated for completion in 2019,
