USTDA to support development of offshore wind in Jamaica

By Michelle Froese The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) awarded a grant to the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ) supporting the development of an offshore wind farm in Jamaica. The feasibility study will evaluate the viability of installing the wind farm, which would represent one of the first offshore wind installations in Jamaica and the greater Caribbean region.
With the support of the USTDA, the Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica has selected Keystone Engineering to conduct a feasibility study and evaluate the viability of installing an offshore wind farm in Jamaica.
